ADMISSION

The Academic Year in French is offered to students in the upper level of the elementary school, i.e., 4th, 5th and 6th grades, and throughout the Secondary School. The Academic Year in English is mainly offered to an international clientele, aged from 14 to 17 years old. Linguistic stays welcome young students from abroad, aged from 10 to 17 years old, whose first language is neither French nor English.

Once the admission requirements have been satisfied, students may be accepted into one of these programs at any time. In order to be admitted to  Laurentian Academy, students must have successfully completed previous academic years, or have successfully repeated a year in which they had not gained promotion . Students’ behaviour, mental attitude and motivation, and their personal commitment to consistently supplying the effort required for achieving their full potential, are the true criteria used for selection and admission. For new student enrolment, it is recommended that the admission request be forwarded to the school prior to the summer period, which precedes the start of the school year.

FEES

Laurentian Academy - a not-for-profit organisation - is in a position to maintain its general fee structure at a ceiling lower than  , that of other private schools whose renown also lies in the international sphere. A reduction of 10% is even offered for the second child, and of 30% for the third child of the same family.

There are three (3) types of fees :

  • School fees (which, other than schooling, include educational and administrative services and campus life, including supervised study and guided activities);
  • Boarding fees, if applicable (covering accommodation, meals, heating costs, use of all sports facilities and socio-cultural programme);
  • Fees for international students.

A scholarship program has been set up for children from families with modest incomes and aims especially at young people for whom the Academy’s Educational Project is likely to constitute a major resource for developing their rich potential and possibly to create future leaders.
